The cutest little Bee…

I saw many adorable kids at our Trunk Or Treat event at our church. Thanks to everyone that came out to see us! However, isn’t this the cutest Bee EVER! I am sure you know who she is by now.

Spring is in swing

I can’t wait because it will be taking me back outdoor for some sessions starting this weekend. My favorite tree is in bloom, the Yoshino Cherry, we have one in our yard. Here a two pictures of it.

Looks like snow.

The dainty pink buds.

Signs of spring

I forced myself outside today to take a few pictures since signs of spring are all over. Here is one of the Bradford Pear tree in our yard. The blossoms are so pretty up close and most of the time overlooked since they come and go so fast and there are so many Bradford pears in this area.

New backdrop and super cute subject

Here is one of my new backdrops for 2008 and a super cute subject too, okay it is just my daughter. It is actually quite an accomplishment to get a good picture of her since she is always on the move, maybe I can become a sports photographer, I am certainly getting plenty of practice with a moving subject. Oh about the drop. It is a hotspot drop (notice the lighter area in the middle) and it is called Brown Sugar.

My Beautiful Niece

It has been a very busy, tough weekend. I will be posting from my weekend holiday sessions soon. But for now I wanted to share a picture of my niece. You have seen her brother Billy on my blog before, this is Courtney. Don’t you just love her freckles? I had them when I was little, actually I still do, so she gets that from me.

Also, I am trying out a new logo. Let me know what you think.

Vacation Pictures

I actually got a chance to take pictures that are not portaits while I was on my vacation. Not a whole lot since we have a toddler to keep up with. So I though I would share some of my favorites. The first couple are of berries outside our cabin, I have no idea what they are. The others were taken along the Cades Cove drive.

Of course one with my daugther, how can I resist?

Not bad for a camera phone

Several weeks back my hubby and I had to get new cell phones. Mine literally fell apart, first one hinge and then the other LOL! So of course I wanted the phone with the 2.0 megapixel camera. My old phone had a camera but not a 2.0 megapixel. I have been pleased with the results and love having a camera everywhere I go. Here are some pictures with it straight from the phone just resized for here, not too shabby!

My sleeping baby in the park last weekend.

Eating dinner tonight. Please excuse the food on her face! She is so funny, when I hold the phone in front of my face to take a picture, she will peak around it at me.

The beautiful sunset tonight from the car on I-24.

Billy’s Graduation

Last Saturday my nephew Billy graduated from Cookeville High School. You may remember his pictures from a previous post. Yes that was the same day as the wedding, it was a very busy day for me. We are so proud of him. He had many of his family members there so see the wonderful event. His graduation was held in the Hopper Eblen Center at Tennessee Tech, where Bret and I both received our college diplomas. Here are a few pics. We were so far away making it difficult to get pictures and I didn’t want to lug all of my equipment the the graduation, of course once I was there I was wishing I brought a different lens!

Billy walking in. We kept saying is that him, is that him with each tall blond boy. At last we saw him walk in.

I love this picture, although it is far away. That face in the middle looking up in the sea of other faces is Billy. Looking up toward his family. You can click on the picture to see it a little bigger.

I climbed over chairs to get out of my row and sneak down for a few pictures a little closer up. I love this one too and he was making his way to the front to get his diploma.

And finally here he is receiving his diploma!!

Wedding cake, part deux

My husband and I recently celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary, and as a gift to him I got small versions of our wedding cakes made. We originally got them from The Bake Shoppe and they were so yummy, so I called up The Bake Shoppe again and they did a wonderful job replicating our cakes. They were once again yummy. We had the same debate this time around as to who’s cake tasted better. My white with chocolate chip or his Kahlua chocolate cake. One thing we agree on is that the little Tuxedo Strawberries are just adorable and delicious.

We were a little nicer this time, just a little dot on the nose

So if any of you wedding couples are looking for great cakes, we highly recommend The Bake Shoppe.

Spring…

Spring is just flying by, here are a few captures that just say spring to me. Cherry Blossoms, putting out the bird feeder, and flip flops.
