Just One More- Maternity Portraits Smyrna TN

Okay I lied, here is one more. I love the lighting on this one.

Maternity - Just One (Smyrna Tennessee Maternity Portraits)

Busy times, but I had to share just one from my recent Maternity session. Enjoy!

Some News….

A lot has been happening with Kristin Aune Photography and the Aune family, so I wanted to make sure and update everyone….

First of all I am going to have a Booth at the Baby Fair at Baptist Hospital on April 19th. This show is for new and expectant Mom’s and there will be lots of door prizes and a ton of information and vendors, everything baby. If you come or send a friend make sure you tell them to check out my booth. Details are listed right on the front of the Baptist website.

Second, Kristin Aune Photography will be moving to a new studio space and the Aune family will be moving to a new home. We will have a ton more space both for our family and for my business. We close the end of this month, but are not sure when we will be completely in the new space. Right now I am having a lot of outdoor sessions but when the weather gets hot and I am back inside, I will have a lot more space to play with. Stay tuned for updates.

Lastly, beside preparing for the baby fair, listing our current home, buying a new home, and raising a toddler, here are a few pics from some recent sessions….

I photographed another beautiful Mom-to-be over the weekend, and if I do say so myself, some of her photos were FIERCE (yes too much project runway for me…LOL!).

I also had a Alyza back for her one year portraits, and she is graduating from the baby plan. Mom really wanted an outdoor session, but the weather hasn’t been cooperating, so we are saving that for another time.

Maternity…..new backdrops.

Here is a recent maternity session. The beautiful mom-to-be has seen all of her pictures already, but I wanted to show some recent work on my blog as well as two of my new backdrops.

I have a new white backdrop that I will probably be using for my baby planners, it is soft and drappy (is that a word?) Maybe I will get good at putting it up soon, It took Bret and I quite some time to get it to look how we wanted. I think it is pretty though. The second is a beige drop, it is lighter in color than the one that I have had for several years now and it might just be my new favorite. The last three are just some fav’s.

Vacation

It has been quite a while since we took a real vacation, but starting tonight we are officially on vacation. I have got all of the recent orders out and all of my sessions complete. We will be back in town next Thursday and I may not be checking my email until next Saturday. We are going to the mountains, we thought about the beach, but that is a little too long of a drive for a busy one year old.

Here are a few photos from the last session that I finished proofing.

A maternity collage and new baby girl

One of my maternity clients had her baby yesterday, she was born a couple of weeks early. Congratulations to Cherise and her family. I can’t wait to see the baby. She is yet to be named because she didn’t find out the sex of the baby with her ultrasound and everyone told her it would be a boy and she didn’t have a girl name picked out. Yesterday even I said it was going to be a boy. I should have stuck with my first instinct though because when we did her maternity photos, I kept on calling the baby a “her”. Anyway here is the beautiful maternity collage that I made for Cherise.

Not all about the belly

I am often asked to do Maternity photos (or belly shots) and yesterday got the opportunity for a Maternity session that wasn’t all about the belly shots. Angelia and Chris found me on an internet search and wanted me to do some Maternity photos that were a little different than my typically artistic Maternity photos, they wanted them to have a casual feel and to be fun. So we did our basic studio shots (with some fun ones thrown in) and then headed outdoors for some casual photos. They also wanted some with their fur-babies. Here a few samples.

One showing off the baby bump

At the end they hiked up their pants and waded in the creek.

Meet Molly and Jackson

Back in November I got a chance to do a very artsy maternity session with a new customer, Molly. It was quite different than what most people want (or are willing to do), but it was fun doing something different. We were quite pleased with the results. Molly returned at the end of December to have photos done of her sweet little Jackson. Take a look at the results…pregnancy to baby.
